Duration

April 2023

Solution

Directional Drilling
Interior/exterior fibre optics

The Project

Build a new Fibre network across the village/site and provide each resident with an independent fibre connection. However with 300 clients and award winning grounds, a number of innovative installations techniques would be required as well as the ability to evolve the design as unknown environmental factors present themselves. The site required over 12000 meters of multicore fibre to build the network and this was achieved by utilizing industry leading techniques such as Hydro excavation and Directional drilling. With these techniques we were able to go under larger obstacles such as the bowling green or the bridge which connects the two sides of the village.

The Result

At the end of the project, we have 300 satisfied customers and an ultra-fast network with the ability to be upgraded as and when new technology arrives at minimal cost. Due to the location and the number of streams and ponds a high water table made conventional trenching extremely costly and time consuming or impossible in parts of the village, the ability to drill allowed us to bring the project in on time and budget.
